Scottish Illustrator Jonny Hannah, a graduate of The Royal College of Art, works both in general illustration (paper/digital based) and in video and film fields. Jonny has won a BAFTA for his work where he collaborated with Johnathan Hodgson in 2000 for a small yet obviously effective film entitles "The Man With The Beautiful Eyes" for British television channel Channel 4. The five-minute long film incorporates the use of a poem with the dark subject of a child's negative perception on adult life and how parents restricted children from certain areas of life.
From advertisements to other mediums, Hannah's harsh screen printing style of work and also somewhat "old school" subject matter (his work garners almost a sense of 1950's design and culture) are instantly recognisable. His work also reminds me of Americana due to his mid 1900's influence (it appears) and interest, which I find very appealing and aesthetically pleasing.
